Brothers Andrew Wells, Anthony Boyer, Bo Miller Inaugurated in ‘24-’25 SGA Senate

On Tuesday, 39 different students were officially inaugurated and sworn into the 69th Senate of Troy University’s Student Government Association. With that, Andrew Wells, Anthony Boyer, and Bo Miller were the three FarmHouse Brothers to be inaugurated to serve in SGA for the 2024-2025 year.

For reference, Wells, Boyer, and Miller will hold three of the 14 seats as an At-Large Senator. Wells, Boyer, and Miller will join fellow Brothers Caleb Smith and Colton Lindsey in SGA, who were elected Executive Vice President and Freshman Forum Director, respectively.

Wells, a Freshman Nursing Major from Opelika, Alabama, joins SGA after serving on the Public Relations Committee in Freshman Forum, in addition to being named Delegate of the Week and serving as a group leader for the Excellence in Leadership Conference. On campus, Wells will serve on the 2024 Homecoming Committee, the 2024 Living Stones Retreat, and is an active member of the Student Alumni Association and The Fortress.

“Being elected to represent the student body here at Troy University has become one of the greatest joys in my life!” Wells said. “Before coming to Troy I was very nervous about college as a whole, but being a brother here at FarmHouse has not only shown me how to be a better man, but also how to be a great leader. I’m excited to be a representative for the student body here at Troy University, let’s get to work!”

Boyer, a Freshman Exercise Science Major from Crestview, Florida, also served on the Public Relations Committee in Freshman Forum. On campus, Boyer is an active member of The Fortress and Campus Outreach.

“It means the world to be elected SGA Senator, I love the aspect of helping individuals,” Boyer said. “With this position I will be able to do just that. Go Troy!!!”

Miller, a Freshman Marketing Major from Hartford, Alabama, served on the Student Welfare Committee. In addition, Miller was the 2023-2024 Freshman Forum President, and helped the committee pass two bills passed in Senate. On campus, Miller is a Sorrell College Global Scholar, and a member of the Student Alumni Association.

“For me being elected is a high honor,” Miller said. “Thanks to the support of my fellow students I have been given the opportunity to represent the student body at large. I will seek to do everything in my capacity to help make this beloved university the best it can be.”

The Student Government Association represents Troy University’s student body within the university administration and the community. SGA advocates the interests of TROY students and works to better the student experience through community events and opportunities.

In the upcoming year, Lindsey and Smith will join Wells, Boyer, and Miller as members of Exec for the 2024-2025 year. To clarify, Smith, a Business Management Major from Hokes Bluff, AL, was elected as the Executive Vice President, while Lindsey, a Business Management Major from Cullman, AL, was selected as one of the two Co-Freshman Forum Directors.
